A key aspect to a successful business is one that can run without you. So taking care of our team in a manner that keeps them happy, keeps me happy. Travis Hutchinson, Cory Kaufman and Jessie Pappenfus have all been working with me for more than three years now and created the success that we share with you. We also have a solid part time team including Jessica Peltier, James Powers, Marc Butenko and Jake Birch. It’s hard to believe that Competitive Timing has gone from doing a race here and there as a weekend hobby, to timing up to eight races in one day and well over two hundred a year!
One of my goals was to bring on a partner and get some solid documents in place so no matter the outcome of any individual, Competitive Timing is defined well enough to carry on and keep our community running and riding strong with the services you expect from us.
I am excited to announce that full time race timer, Cory Kaufman, has partnered with me. We are looking forward to growing and improving our race timing services with our partnership! We hope you like Cory because you will be seeing more of him in the years to come. When not at the finish line computing results, chatting about your PR at the results kiosk, setting up registration, or updating series leaderboards you can find him racing and riding his bike.
“I am really excited and grateful for this opportunity. Matthew has grown Competitive Timing to a point where we can deliver cutting-edge timing and race management services to Montana and surrounding area. When I say cutting-edge, I truly mean that. I have participated in many race events around the nation and Competitive Timing delivers an outstanding product. I really appreciate how Matthew has created values that put our race directors and racers first when it comes to continually improving and delivering our services. One of my favorite things about Competitive Timing is the race community and seeing familiar faces at events. Building those friendships in the race community with our race directors and participants is one of the best aspects of race timing” – Cory Kaufman
Looking forward to many more years working with all of you! To see a short bio on each of us, check out our About Us Page.
